Installation Requirements of Fire Pump and Fire Pump Pipeline 1Fire pump should adopt self-irrigation water absorption. 2When a fire pump pumps water directly from a municipal pipe network, an air-partitioned backflow preventer shall be installed on the outlet pipe of the fire pump. 3When there is no suction well at the suction inlet, the swirl preventer should be installed at the suction inlet. 4A group of fire pumps, suction pipes should not be less than two, when one of them is damaged or overhauled, the rest of the suction pipes should still be able to pass all the fire water design flow. 5The arrangement of suction pipes of fire pumps should avoid the formation of air bags. 6A group of fire pumps shall have no less than two main water conveyance pipes connected with the fire water supply ring network. When one of the water conveyance pipes is repaired, the rest of the water conveyance pipes shall still be able to supply all the designed flow of fire water supply. 7The submergence depth of suction nozzle of fire pump should satisfy the safety requirement of operation of fire pump at the lowest water level. The submergence depth of suction pipe bell mouth under the lowest effective water level of fire pool should be determined according to the water flow velocity and hydraulic conditions of suction pipe bell mouth, but not less than 600 mm.When the cyclone preventer is used, the submergence depth should not be less than 200 mm. 8Open-rod gate valve or butterfly valve with self- locking device should be installed on the suction pipe of fire pump, but open scale and mark should be set when dark-rod valve is installed, and electric valve should be set when pipe diameter exceeds DN300. 9Check valve and open bar gate valve shall be installed on the outlet pipe of fire pump; self-locking device shall be provided when butterfly valve is used; electric valve shall be installed when pipe diameter is greater than DN300. 10When the diameter of fire pump suction pipe is less than DN250, its flow rate should be 1.0-1.2m/s; when the diameter is greater than DN250, it should be 1.2-1.6m/s. 11When the diameter of fire pump outlet pipe is less than DN250, its flow rate should be 1.5-2.0m/s; when the diameter is greater than DN250, it should be 2.0- 2.5m/s. 12The layout of suction wells should meet the requirements of smooth flow, uniform flow rate and no whirlpool, and should be easy to install and construct. 13Waterproof sleeve shall be used when the suction pipe and outlet pipe of fire pump pass through the outer wall; when passing through the wall and floor, they shall meet the requirements of relevant regulations. 14Flexible sleeve shall be used when the suction pipe of fire pump passes through the fire pool; flexible joint shall be installed on the suction pipe of the pump when the rigid waterproof sleeve is adopted, and the diameter of the pipe shall not be greater than DN150.
