Hot water quality The hygienic indicators of domestic hot water quality should meet the req uirements of the current Hygienic Standards for Drinking Water. The treatment of raw water in centralized hot water supply system s hould be determined technically and economically on the basis of w ater quality, water quantity, water temperature, structure of water h eating equipment and use requirements. The total hardness of softened water should be as follows: Water for laundry: 50-100 mg/L; Other water use: 75-150 mg/L 4.
