Architectural Engineering-Design Task Delegation Model The organizational system of design firms in developed industrial countries is different from that in China. Most design firms are professional design firms, not comprehensive design institutes, such as architects'firms, structural engineers' firms and various construction equipment professional engineers'firms. The size of design firms is also small, so the design task entrusted mode is different from that in China.For industrial and civil construction projects, architect firms often play a leading role in the world, while other professional design firms cooperate with architect firms to do corresponding design work. The owner of our country mainly chooses the design scheme and design unit by means of design bidding.But in many countries, there are design competition regulations in the world, and there is no direct connection between design competition and commission of design task.The scope of design competition can be wide or narrow, such as design concept, design scheme, design competition for a design problem.The results of the design competition are limited to the evaluation of the design competition results. The owner will make a comprehensive analysis and study of the results of the design competition before deciding on the Commission of the design task. There are two main modes of delegation of design tasks, namely: (1) The owner entrusts a design unit or a design consortium or a design collaboration composed of several design units as the general design responsible unit, and the general design responsible unit entrusts other design units to cooperate with the design as necessary; (2) The owner does not entrust the general design responsible unit, but entrusts several design units to design in parallel.
