Switching, de-energizing and energizing shall be performed by authorized personnel only as determined by the Province. Inspect exposed cable sections, terminations, and splices for evidence of overheating and corona. Inspect general cable installation and note any deficiencies. Electrical Tests .1 Very Low frequency Tan Delta (VLF-TD) Test: .1 Test electric strength of cable using “step voltage” test method. .2 Test to be individually applied between each conductor and ground with cables disconnected from each bus. .3 Test to be carried out in three steps: Step 1: VAC = .5 Vₒ-time 3 Min Step 2: VAC = Vₒ-time 3 Min Step 3: VAC = 1.5VₒTime 3 min Where Vₒ= Operating voltage to
