Safe evacuation of garage According to the "Code for Fire Protection Design of Garage, Repair Garage and Parking lot" (GB50067-2014), the safety evacuation of garage should meet the following requirements: 1) Safety exits for garages, garage repairs and car evacuation exits shall be set separately. 2) There should be no less than two safety exits for personnel in each fire prevention zone of garage and garage. In addition to the mechanical garage without lanes and stays, there should be no fewer than two safety exits for personnel in each fire prevention zone in the garage and garage, and one garage of type IV and type III and IV can be set up. 3) The evacuation stairs for garages and garages shall comply with the following provisions: (1) Smoke-proof staircases shall be used in high-rise garages with a height greater than 32 m, underground garages with a height difference between indoor and outdoor entrance and exit floors greater than 10 m, and closed staircases shall be used in other garages and garages; (2) Grade B fire doors should be used for stairwell and front room doors, and should be opened in the direction of evacuation; (3) The width of the evacuation staircase should not be less than 1.10m. 4) The distance between the farthest working place in the garage and the staircase should not exceed 45 meters. When an automatic fire extinguishing system is installed, the evacuation distance from any point in the garage to the nearest safe exit should not exceed 60 meters. 5) When one of the following conditions is met, an evacuation exit for the garage or garage can be set up: Class IV garage; (2) Setting up type III ground garage for two- lane car evacuation exit; (3) Underground or semi-underground garages with two-lane car evacuation exits, parking numbers less than or equal to 100 and building area less than 4000m2 should be set up; (4) Class II, III and IV garages. 6) The width of the evacuation ramp should not be less than 3m and the two-lane should not be less than 5.5m. 7) The horizontal distance between two adjacent evacuation exits should not be less than 10m except for mechanical garage with no lane in the room and no people staying. The two adjacent ramps should be separated by firewalls.
