CAMFT Job Description POSITION TITLE: Clinical Board Director-At-Large BASIC FUNCTION: The Board Director-At-Large shall review and establish major policy and plans of the Association in cooperation with the Officers, other Board members, Executive Director, and membership. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Board Meetings Prepare for and attend all meetings of the Board (minimum of 4 meetings per year). Participate in all 4 Board-to-Board receptions (Friday evening prior to Board meeting). Committees Prepare for and attend all Committee and Task Force meetings to which Board DirectorAt-Large is assigned. Board Directors-At-Large should expect to be appointed to 2-3 Committees and/or Task Forces. Typically, Committees and Task Forces meet via phone or video conference for 1-2 hours per meeting and typically meet 3-4 times per year. CAMFT Live Events CAMFT Leadership Conference Occurs in February (Friday night – Saturday night) Participate in and engage with members CAMFT Connects Usually occurs concurrently with CAMFT Leadership Conference in February Participate in and engage with members Annual Conference Occurs in late April or early May (Thursday – Sunday) Attend Annual Membership Meeting Attend Welcome Reception Introduce session speakers (as assigned) Engage with members Lobbying Trips Washington, DC Occurs in March or April (4 days) Accompany Grassroots Advocacy Team to lobby during first year on Board, at a minimum Participate in grassroots trainings and lobbying Sacramento, CA Occurs in March Accompany Grassroots Advocacy Team to lobby during first year on Board, at a minimum Participate in grassroots trainings and lobbying Chapters Attend local Chapter meetings as a Board Ambassador (see “Policy on Board Members at Chapter Events”). Other Cultivate rising leaders to apply to Committees and/or Board. Promptly respond to emails from staff and Board members. Sign/adhere to the following: Conflict of Interest Policy Antitrust Compliance Policy Consent to Electronic Transmission Confidentiality Acknowledgement and Agreement QUALIFICATIONS: Pursuant to Bylaws, Article VI, Section C2: No person shall be eligible for election until he/she has been a voting member of the Association for at least two (2) years upon taking office or has been a Pre-Licensed member and voting member consecutively for at least two (2) years prior to taking office. Participation on CAMFT Committees and Chapter Board or Committee is highly desirable.
