A wide range of possibilities will be considered, including activities for children, al-fresco eating and drinking, and proposals to improve the health and wellbeing of adults, including older people. Applications are particularly welcome for events to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee weekend, sustainable/carbon neutral ideas, and concessions that will provide employment for people in the Maldon District. They are seeking a new part time (25 hours per week) Communication and Engagement Officer. The role involves using a range of media channels, including social media, to ensure that people hear about the work AFFC does in supporting carers and keeping carers of all ages aware of their services. They offer a range of training and support opportunities for family carers and organisations which draws on our lived experience and the voice of people living with dementia. Their new FREE training - Understanding Dementia Better - offers friends and family members supporting someone with dementia at home the opportunity to ask questions, meet others in a similar situation and learn practical tips. They also offer bespoke training to professionals who work with people living with dementia.
