Agenda 1. Attendance and apologies Noting that the Board has approved the convening of this AGM via Zoom given the social distancing requirements of Covid-19. 2. Confirmation of minutes of previous Annual General Meeting. The 57th Annual General Meeting of the Harvard Club of Australia was held on Thursday 27th June 2019 at Perpetual,123 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW at commencing at 6.15pm. Minutes, for confirmation, are on the following page. 3. President’s report A report from the President is included in the published annual report circulated to all members and available on the club website under "about us" 4. Approval of annual financial statements Approval of the financial statements for the Club for the year ended 31 December 2019. The financial statements are included in the published annual report circulated to all members and available on the club website under "about us" 5. Election of auditors The HCA’s auditor is Quest Chartered Accountants. We propose that members reappoint them to act as auditors for the coming financial year. 6. Election of Officers The Constitution provides that the President holds office for 2 years, and Vice Presidents for a maximum of 3 years. The office of President of Harvard Club of Australia will become vacant as a result of the end of Charles Graham’s, MBA '01, two-year term. Per s21(1) of the Constitution, Elizabeth Carr, AM, MPA'04 has been nominated and now stands for election. The office of Vice President for Members was vacant as a result of the resignation of Kimberly Everett, MUP'98. Per s21(1) of the Constitution, David Pumphrey, MBA'70 was appointed to fill that casual vacancy and now stands for election. 7. Harvard Club of Australia Minutes 57th Annual General Meeting 27th June 2019 Held at Perpetual Trustees, level 18, 123 Pitt Street, Sydney 1. Attendance and Apologies The AGM was attended by nearly 40 HCA councilors, members and guests. Apologies were received from: Justin Greiner, Tom Saar, Chris Smith, Anna Shepherd, Sam Weiss, Kimberly Everett, Joanna White, John Turner, Tempe MacGowan, Kirthana Sharma. Charles Graham opened the meeting at 6.20pm. 2. Confirmation of Minutes The minutes of the 56th Annual General Meeting of the Harvard Club of Australia held on 12th June 2018 having been circulated to members at the Meeting, were taken as read. Motion to approve, Ricky Campbell-Allen and seconded Ted Blamey. It was resolved that the minutes be confirmed as a true and correct record of the 56th Annual General Meeting. 3. President’s Report 2018 Charles Graham summarised his 2018 President’s Report covering the following areas: ● A year of engagement and reach ● He acknowledged the role of Tom Saar, Justin Greiner and Chris Smith in the huge undertaking the Strategic Review in 2018 which has brought new ideas and much activity to the Club ● A New Constitution was brought in and he acknowledged the work of Kimberly Everett who wrote new Constitution ● Mission of Club – to make a difference as a Harvard community in Australia ● Active engagement across a broad ar
