April 16, 2021 To Whom It May Concern: Northern Virginia Business and Professional Women’s Club is again pleased to announce its 2021 Scholarship Program. The purpose of the Northern Virginia Women’s Club is to help women reach their potential and maximize their contribution to society and the Commonwealth as wage earners and citizens. The club initiated several projects to meet this goal, one being the annual merit scholarship for young women in high school. We believe opportunities offered to women early in life will help lead to their success as productive and resourceful citizens. This scholarship award is presented to a female high school student of African-American descent, who is a graduating senior residing in one of the Northern Virginia counties: Loudoun, Fairfax, or Prince William. This scholarship is awarded annually to a student with a minimum 2.5-grade point average on a 4.0 scale who exemplifies exceptional academic and communityservice involvement. Enclosed, please find our scholarship form for the current school year. We would appreciate your assistance in making this scholarship application available to students who qualify.
