COUNTY CUP ENTRY CRITERIA SEASON 2021/22 Clubs should note; if after having submitted an entry to a County Cup Competition, a club desires to withdraw a team(s), written confirmation must be sent to the Essex County FA Competitions Department. The club will be liable for a fine and any other penalties as Essex FA may decide. ADULT CLUBS Adult clubs are now permitted to enter more than one team into the same County Cup competition if they have more than one side eligible. To enter a lower status team, the club must enter all of its sides of a higher status. Teams placed in the Championship with a PPG of 1.5 or above in 2020/21 will be placed into the Premier Cup. Those with a lower PPG in 2020/21 will be placed in to the Junior Cup. Any teams promoted into Championship will be placed in to the Junior Cup. WOMEN’S CUPS All womens teams (first and reserves) are eligible to enter the BBC Essex Women’s Cup. Teams participating in the Eastern Region Women’s League Premier Division or the FA Women’s Premier League are exempt to the quarter-final stage. Teams losing in the First and Second Rounds of the competition will be placed into the Essex Women’s Trophy. An Under 18s Girls Cup will operate in season 2019/20, subject to a minimum of eight entries being received. Should eight entries not be received, Under 18s girls teams will be permitted to enter the Essex Women’s Trophy although, as this is an open-age competition, players will be required to have reached the age of 16 to participate. YOUTH & GIRLS’ CUPS The following competitions will run for youth and girls clubs in season 2020/21: Pelly Under 18s Cup, Cassels Under 16s Cup, Rosser Under 15s Cup, Andrews Under 14s Cup, Cordell Under 13s Cup, Under 12s Cup (9v9 Competition), Under 18s Girls Cup, Under 16s Girls Cup, Under 14s Girls Cup, Under 12s Girls Cup (9v9 Competition). Seeding will be in place in U12 Cup and Rosser U15 Cup draws. Youth and girls’ clubs who run more than one team at a particular age group will be permitted to enter all teams at that age group.
