As a leading national theater, we recognize that building an equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment is central to our relevance and sustainability in the community we serve and love. *For complete statement, please see final page of this posting POSITION SUMMARY The Assistant General Manager (GM)’s primary responsibilities include generating and tracking contracts for creative teams and staff, venues and productions. The Assistant GM will serve as a critical point person for all participants and staff, so the position demands strong communication and organizational skills, as well as ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant GM reports directly to the General Manager, and is also responsible for supporting facilities and IT projects and initiatives. The Assistant GM will have oversight of the Company Management department. An ideal candidate would be someone who has experience delegating tasks and feels comfortable both working with a team in a collaborative environment, and also working independently. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which is eligible for overtime. Some nights and weekends will be required as needed throughout the season. KEY RELATIONSHIPS General Manager Managing Director Facilities Manager Office and IT Manager Company Manager Artistic Producer Director of Production Creative Teams Visiting Artists ESSENTIAL DUTIES Following the General Manager’s instructions, generate and track contracts for all stages, readings, and workshops for Actors, Stage Managers, Designers and Directors and tracking payments to these guest artists per their respective agreements. File fully executed contracts to all unions (AEA, SDC, USA), as needed, and maintain production files for all shows in conjunction with the General Manager. Reconcile Artists’ fees and salaries with internal records, budgets and unions on a monthly basis. Process weekly payroll and union reports Work on various LORT surveys as instructed by the General Manager. File annual Producer’s Questionnaires, etc. with AEA, SDC, USA and coordinate annual renewal paperwork. Work with the Office & IT Manager to Track the use and functionality of I.T. equipment and participate in the planning of I.T. initiatives & purchases Help support Facilities on building projects and maintenance requests/concerns Oversight and management of the Company Management department Manage rentals of the Kalita Humphreys Theater in coordination with the Officer & IT Manager In partnership with the General Manager, be a liaison with the City of Dallas Assist and support the GM with a range of projects. (e.g., assessment and selection of key vendors, negotiation of vendor contracts, improvement of I.T. capabilities, analysis of facility use and efficiency, renovation planning and management) Act as liaison between the Administrative and the Production staff to ensure open communication and seamless coordination between the two Attend team meetings, tech rehearsals and performances as needed. Attend and participates in full company, departmental, and production meetings; in addition to technical rehearsals and previews for all productions, as required Performs work in a manner that is consistent with DTC’s Mission, Vision and Values.
