We are based in the grounds of Rownhams St John’s Primary School but are entirely independent from the school. We run the Pre-school term time only and offer places for children who are two years old up to reception age subject to availability. This prospectus is designed to give you information about the Pre-School and should answer many of your questions. Rated Good by Ofsted in October 2018 we continually aim to improve the services we offer. This should be read in conjunction with our policies, which give more detailed information of what we do. We are also opening a breakfast club from September 2021 which opens from 8.00 am for children two years old and above and have extended our RASCALS After School Club and Holiday Club to children who are three years old and above. HORNS DROVE COMMUNITY PRE-SCHOOL AIMS TO:  Provide high quality care and education for Pre-school children;  Work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop;  Add to the life and well being of it’s local community  Offer children and their parents a service which promotes equality and values diversity.  Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum AS A MEMBER OF HORNS DROVE COMMUNITY PRE-SCHOOL YOUR CHILD:  Is in a safe and stimulating environment;  Is given generous care and attention  Has the chance to join with other children and adults to play, work and learn together;  Is helped to take forward their learning and development by building on what they already know and can do;  Is helped to create habits of listening, sharing and concentrating;  Is in a Pre-School which sees you as a partner in helping your child to learn and develop; and in which parents help to shape the service it offers. Page | 1 FEE SCHEDULE Please see Appendix C Schedule of Fees for our current prices. These fees should be paid in advance and our due on the 1 st of the month. An invoice will be e-mailed by the 15 th of the previous month. Upon registration we require a non-refundable administrative fee of £30 and a refundable deposit of £50 to secure the place. There is an annual consumables annual charge of £30 which covers their art bags, sun block and other craft materials. FUNDING Your child will qualify for Government funding the term after their 3 rd birthday or if eligible 2 year funding is available. Children who are two will automatically qualify for the 15 hours the term after they turn three, but parents will need to apply for the extended 30 hour funding code and meet the appropriate criteria. You will need to renew this on a regular basis online. Please see for more information. SESSIONS OFFERED For children aged 2 years to school age we currently offer the following sessions. You may choose one session a day, morning or afternoon or your child may stay for the full Pre-school day. Subject to availability we can offer an additional hour at the end of the morning session if you require. We require a minimum of two sessions per week.
